Introduction: Jute is a kind of fibre. We get it from jute plants. It is called the 'Golden fibre of Bangladesh'.
Cultivation: Jute grows well in low land. The land is ploughed well. Seeds are sown in the months of Falgoon and Chaitra. In three or four months jute plants are matured. Then the farmer cut down the jute. They tie jute into bundles and put them under water. When they get rotten, the fibre is taken out. They are washed well and dried in the sun.
Usefulness: Jute is very useful to us. Ropes, gunny bags, carpets, clothes, paper etc. are made of jute.
Conclusion: Jute is the cash crop of Bangladesh. So we should grow more jute.

সূচনা: পাট এক প্রকার আঁশ। আমরা পাট গাছ থেকে এটি পেয়ে থাকি। একে বাংলাদেশের সােনালি আঁশ বলা
হয়।
চাষাবাদ: নিচু জমিতে পাট ভাল জন্মে। পাটের জমিকে ভালােভাবে চাষ দিতে হয়। ফাল্গুন ও চৈত্র মাসে পাটের বীজ বপন করা হয়। তিন বা চার মাসের মধ্যেই পাট পরিপক্ব হয়ে যায়। তখন কৃষকরা পাট কেটে ফেলে। পাটকে আঁটি বেধে পানিতে ডুবিয়ে রাখে। যখন সেগুলাে পঁচে যায়, তখন আঁশ ছাড়ানাে হয়। আঁশ ভালভাবে ধুয়ে রােদে শুকানাে হয়।
উপকারিতা: পাট আমাদের বিশেষ উপকারী বস্তু। দড়ি, বস্তা, গালিচা, কাপড়, কাগজ ইত্যাদি পাট দিয়ে তৈরি হয়।
উপসংহার: পাট বাংলাদেশের অর্থকরী ফসল। তাই আমাদের অধিক পরিমাণে পাট উৎপাদন করা উচিত।
